Jacques Martinet has occupied a prominent place in the development of Arithmetic in Bordeaux, and formed many students. During this day, the talks will focus on topics related to his mathematical work, which first foremost concerned the algebraic theory of numbers, then
in a second part of his career, the theory of quadratic forms and Euclidean lattices.
The talks will be given by specialists in the subjects that are at the heart of his scientific
activity and who, for some of them, have been among his close collaborators.
